About the Journal

Revista Mexicana de Análisis Político y Administración Pública (REMAP) is a scholarly journal published twice yearly, peer-reviewed under a double-blind model, and published by the University of Guanajuato through the Department of Public Management of the Division of Law, Politics and Government. Its focus lies at the intersection of political analysis and the study of public administration and management. Within this scope, it welcomes work in political science, public policy, public administration and management, political institutions, comparative politics, international relations, political communication, and social science methodology, with particular attention to processes in Mexico and Ibero-America and an openness to international debate.

The journal publishes theoretical and empirical research articles, critical book reviews, and thematic dossiers that bring together specialized contributions from scholars working in these fields around a common problem. REMAP is intended for researchers, faculty members, professionals, graduate students, and all those interested in political science, public administration, public policy, public management, and international relations, both in Mexico and in Spanish- and English-speaking academic circles. The journal accepts original contributions in Spanish and English; in every case, articles include their title, abstract, and keywords in both languages.

REMAP seeks to offer a rigorous, plural, and open space for high-level academic research and for dialogue among disciplinary traditions, methodological approaches, and national experiences. The journal operates under a non-commercial open access model: it charges no fees for the submission, processing, evaluation, or publication of articles, nor does it charge readers for access to its contents. This policy reflects the conviction that knowledge produced with a public purpose should circulate freely, free of charge, and permanently.
