The Davos Consensus: Towards the Establishment of Global Governance?

Abstract

In a context of global crisis, public-private partnerships have promoted a new international regulatory framework. One example is the Great Reset initiative, driven by the World Economic Forum, which has influenced global policy-making. This study identifies and analyzes the main policies associated with this agenda, calling them the new "Davos Consensus" due to their impact on global governance. From a global policy and transnational administration approach, seven key axes are addressed: 1) global health, 2) climate action, 3) governance and digital identity, 4) digital currency, 5) Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies, 6) the return of state interventionism through social reputation systems and 7) social inclusion and gender. These interconnected policies shape a new global order.
