Copyright and Licensing Policy

Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of the works they publish in REMAP. Upon acceptance for publication, they grant the journal authorization for the first publication of the work and for its permanent availability in open access. The journal does not require the exclusive transfer of economic rights; therefore, authors retain ownership of their work.

Publication License

REMAP contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows anyone to access, download, copy, distribute, and print the works in full, provided that authorship and source are acknowledged, no commercial use is made of them, and no derivative works are produced. The journal includes license information on its website and, as a recommended practice, in each published article.

Conditions of Use by Third Parties

Anyone reusing a work published in REMAP must invariably cite the authorship and the first publication in the journal, without altering the content and giving appropriate credit. Use for academic and research purposes is welcome within the terms of the license. Uses that exceed what the license allows, particularly those of a commercial nature or those involving derivative works, require authorization from the copyright holder.

Open Access and No Fees

REMAP is a non-commercial open access journal. It does not charge authors any fees for article processing, submission, or publication, nor does it charge readers for access to its contents. The journal’s operation is supported institutionally by the University of Guanajuato.

Self-Archiving

Consistent with this policy, the journal authorizes authors to self-archive their works under the terms and conditions established in REMAP’s self-archiving policy, citing the source and including the article’s persistent identifier.

Validity and Updating
